Welcome. I’m Melissa.
I didn't come to yoga because I was flexible, and I certainly didn't come to it because I thought I'd become a teacher.
Like many people, I came to yoga looking for something that would help me navigate real life.
Over time, yoga became more than movement. It became a way to slow down, breathe, move through challenges, and reconnect with myself. It taught me that showing up matters more than getting it perfect and that growth often happens in the simplest moments.
What started as a personal practice eventually grew into something bigger. Today, I have the privilege of guiding classes, sharing meditation and Yoga Nidra, exploring sound practices, and building community with people from all walks of life.
My teaching philosophy is simple: yoga is for every body.
You don't need to be flexible. You don't need the right clothes, the perfect pose, or years of experience. You just need a willingness to show up.
Whether we're practicing in a yoga studio, a YMCA class, a chair, a pool, a park, or gathered together at a community event, my goal is always the same ~ to create a space where people feel welcome, supported, and connected.
While yoga can help us become stronger, calmer, and more resilient, some of the most meaningful things happen beyond the poses. Friendships form. Confidence grows. People discover they belong.
That's what Yoga Unedited is all about.
Real life. Real practice.
A place to move, connect, learn, and belong exactly as you are.
